About me

Just to introduce myself, I have made a list of my achievements, degrees and experience chronologically:

- In 1998, I graduated from St Petersburg State University (Russia) as a Philologist in Germanic Studies, Teacher of English and Translator/ Interpreter (English, Russian, French);

- worked as a Professor at St Petersburg State University (Russia), faculties of Philology and International Relations, teaching students English, Social Studies, Geography and History of Great Britain, the USA, Australia and Canada;

-a number of published translations in Psychology from English into Russian;

- several articles in Intensive Teaching of Foreign Languages;

- since 2003, I have been working as an IELTS examiner (first for British Council in St Petersburg, Russia, and then here, in Toronto);

-obtained a number of certificates in TESL/TESOL and CELTA;

- an accredited member of TESL Ontario (Teaching English as a Second

Language) http://www.teslontario.net/;

- TESL Mentor ( The TESL Toronto Mentorship Program);

- a certified member of CET (Cambridge English Teaching), the UK;

- an associate member of ATIO (Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario);

-the latest personal IELTS score: IELTS General -overall 9 (2012), IELTS Academic - overall 9 (2015)(https://www.ielts.org/about-the-test/how-ielts-is-scored);

-currently living and working in Toronto, Canada;

-participated in developing materials for some tests, which were approved by the tests' authorities;

- have been teaching students from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Japan, Korea, India, Latin America, China and some other countries and parts of the world both in person and via Skype;

- have been preparing students for IELTS, TOEFL, CAE, FCE and CELPIP at accredited colleges in Canada; and
